ALL CANDIDATES FOR KWETHLUK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT MUST PROVE TO HAVE THE INTIATIVE TO BE A PART OF THE KWETHLUK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
The City of Kwethluk, Alaska is recruiting for an active Fire engine squad for Kwethluk. Not a wild land fire responder unit, an active fire department squad. This squad will be responsible for the safety of the local residents should a structure fire take place, and to educate the younger generation on fire safety. The candidates for Kwethluk Volunteer Fire department will need to see the City Clerk, or the Deputy Clerk; please provide the needed information: Phone number and email contact information. Please indicate if you are VOLUNTEERING for Kwethluk Fire Department, we will put you on roster as untrained volunteer.
This would be for Kwethluk Volunteer Fire Department on-call paid service. To be a part of the on-call paid service for Kwethluk Volunteer Fire Department candidates must go through Alaska Fire and Life safety training completion and remain active until necessary for reserve placement.

Fire Department Administrator-Candidate(s) must have knowledge in business management; and financial management including grant funds apply for. Fire Department Administrative Bookkeeper-Candidate(s) must have a certificate of completion on hand, or a college degree in accounting. Fire Department Fleet Maintenance (Mechanic)-Candidate(s) must have a certificate of completion to work on Fire Department engines-vital for Kwethluk Volunteer Fire Department to function as a fire fighter unit. Fire Department Administrative Assistant – Candidate(s) must be willing and able to function without supervision, have a certificate of completion, or college degree.
All volunteer candidates must take part in the public safety building fundraiser events as needed and be active in the community of Kwethluk. Considerations may be given priority, must have an open dialogue with the City Manager is required.
